‘LANDSCAPE’ is a multifunctional system inspired by a natural landscape.
It is at the same time a bookshelf, a container for plants, flowers and natural elements, and a partition system.
CONCEPT
Its design was inspired by the reliefs, concavities, scars, holes, and bodies of water a natural landscape consists of. Starting from this suggestion, and exploiting the physical and chemical properties of the material – particularly its thermoformability and impermeability – we have conceived LANDSCAPE as an undulated surface on which vegetation coexist with the objects people habitually place on bookshelves and consoles, thus ideally bringing nature into our artificial space.
FROM OBJECT TO SYSTEM
Each plane can be used alone or combined with other units to form a group. To emphasize its visual lightness, we have suspended it by steel threads rather than placing it on a frame.
Combining several units results in a flexible partition system that can be installed in public and private spaces creating visually lightweight, evocative partitions.
LANDSCAPE can be fitted with various plant species and hung at different heights, juxtaposing and/or overlapping the different units.
