Founded in 2000, Bianchini & Lusiardi Associati works across both the public and private sectors at multiple scales\u2014from architecture to interior design to urban regeneration\u2014applying a transversal approach grounded in experimentation and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The studio\u2019s projects are distinguished by the evocative and narrative quality of their spaces, by a strong attention to context, and by the relationship between places and their users, guided by the belief that good design can positively influence human behavior as well as social and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In both architecture and design, we prioritize the use of sustainable materials and construction technologies, carefully evaluating the life cycle of each component. Over more than two decades of practice, the studio has developed the ability to manage complex projects, defined its own expressive vocabulary, and consolidated a strong attention to detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bianchini & Lusiardi Associati has won numerous international architecture and design competitions in Italy and abroad. The studio\u2019s work has been exhibited in various shows and published in national and international magazines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Federica Lusiardi
In 1992, she earned her Master\u2019s degree in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano. Since 1994, she has been a registered architect with the Order of Architects of the Province of Cremona. After several internships in design studios in Milan, from 1992 to 1997, she worked at the professional practice of architect Eugenio Bettinelli, where she contributed to architectural, exhibition, and interior design projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1997, she was selected to join the research group of the Laboratory for the Restoration of Cremona\u2019s Historic Center, led by Lamberto Rossi and Barbara Croce. Within the Laboratory, she focused particularly on developing a catalogue of elements aimed at enhancing the quality of public spaces and drafting guidelines for commercial fa\u00e7ades in the historic center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is interested in material culture, interior design, and product design. In this field, with her design for the expandable table Biplano<\/em>, she won the first edition of the \u201cOnly for Women\u201d competition organized by Arrmet, and in the same year received an honorable mention for the Edgard<\/em> side table, designed for Calligaris\u2019 \u201cWood and Design\u201d competition. Since 2017, through the project TERRESTRE, she has been producing small\u2011series objects that highlight materials and handcrafted processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riccardo Bianchini
In 1993 he earned his Master\u2019s degree from the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa. He has been a registered architect with the Order of Architects of the Province of Cremona since 1995 and with the ARB\u2014the Architects Registration Board of the United Kingdom\u2014since 2010. After graduating, he combined academic work with professional practice: in 1995 he served as tutor at the Summer School of Industrial Design of the Politecnico di Milano\u2019s Faculty of Architecture; from 1994 to 2000 he was cultore della materia<\/em> in Industrial Design at the same faculty, in Achille Castiglioni\u2019s course, where he also co\u2011supervised degree theses; from 2001 to 2003 he taught Computer Aided Design at the Faculty of Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From February 1997 to March 1998, he was a member of the Laboratory for the Restoration of Cremona\u2019s Historic Center, led by Lamberto Rossi and Barbara Croce, established to develop a program of preliminary interventions for the new masterplan. Within the LRCS, he focused primarily on the historical evolution of the urban fabric and on building typologies.
