DBEW- Design Between East and West International design competition. First Prize
The project “The Nest House” won the second edition of the DBEW – Design Beyond East and West – competition, organized by the Korean furniture multinational Hanssem Corporation.
The theme proposed by the competition brief—the design of an apartment for a family composed of two adults and one child—was developed by interpreting the living room as the core of the home, where the main functions are grouped along the perimeter of the space.

In this way, the domestic space—capable of expanding or contracting in response to the rhythms and needs of its inhabitants—becomes the place where the family’s daily rituals are amplified by the movement of translucent, colored shells that open and close, like stage curtains, the nests containing the various functions.
